FEiSty – Field Experiments in Strategy
FEiSty Labs is the umbrella for my field experimental work, which I conduct jointly with colleagues and students from different disciplinary backgrounds. Most projects examine how incentive systems – especially non-financial and relational incentives such as awards and recognition – shape motivation, behavior, and performance in organizations, digital platforms, and public institutions.
At UCLA Anderson, FEiSty (Field Experiments in Strategy) is a capstone course in which MBA teams partner with organizations to design and run real-world field experiments (e.g., large-scale A/B tests) on live strategic questions. Recent projects have involved work with partners in technology, healthcare, education, gaming, and the social sector, testing interventions around engagement, retention, recognition, and other aspects of incentive design.
The common thread is an effort to apply rigorous experimentation in service of better incentive systems and better outcomes for organizations and the people they serve.
